Banana Spring Rolls with Chocolate or Dulce de Leche


This is one of those sweets that is ‘Stupid Simple’ but delicious!  Spring Roll wrappers have become my new favourite thing!  Not only are they good with Asian meat filling, but also with Cheese!  Check out my Pizza Rolls recipe!  They are so versatile and easy to use!  I always have a few extra packages in my freezer!  This is my latest, Banana Spring Rolls!  I have topped them with Chocolate or Dulce de Leche!  YUUUUUMO!

The ingredients

Choose your combination!  Any way you want!?  Add some extra sugar if your bananas aren’t sweet or if you are a cinnamon lover, toss some of that in? Up to you!  You can whip these up in no time and they taste best warm!!!  I pan fry them in oil instead of deep-frying to save on the extra fat.  They still turn out crispy and delicious, they just take a little longer to cook.

The Roll!  Place your wrapper diamond shape, add the mashed banana and chocolate chips or dulce de leche or Nutella!!! 😉  Fold up, Fold in!  Ensuring that there are no holes and Roll up! Wet the edges with your finger and seal!  Easy Peasy!!!

Dulce de Leche version or you can always just have the dulce de Leche to dip in as it can get a bit messy.  Who doesn’t LOVE dulce de Leche???

Fried and ready

Pan Fry in vegetable oil till they are golden.  Drain on a paper towel and serve when ready. Such a fun, delicious dessert!  They originate from the Philippines called Turon, which is usually stuffed with banana or jackfruit.  Dip in nutella or serve with ice cream!  It is soooo good! Enjoy!

A delicious easy dessert that you can fill any way you want, wrap and roll and pan fry until golden. They Banana Spring Rolls with chocolate or dulce de leche are crispy and sweet!

Serves: 4-6
  • 4 Bananas
  • Vegetable Oil for frying
  • Square spring roll wrappers, thawed
  • ½ cup Chocolate Chips
  • Dulce de Leche
  1. Peel and mash bananas in a bowl
  2. Put chocolate chips in a bowl
  3. Have a bowl of water ready to wet your fingers for sealing
  4. Take your spring roll wrappers and lay them diamond shape.
  5. Place mashed banana in middle of wrapper and top with some chocolate chips or dulce de leche
  6. Roll bottom end of wrapper up to banana and fold in sides of wrapper, wet top end of wrapper to enclose banana and finish roll
  7. Fry banana spring rolls in a frying pan in hot oil until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with dulce de leche or ice cream
